This site is an ongoing project. July of 2009 marked the beginning of this project aimed at providing you good, up to date information. We continue to monitor the links and are dedicated to brain injury education. Please be patient with us.
The Outpatient Brain Injury Program of Roger C. Peace Rehabilitation Hospital, part of the Greenville Hospital System, was awarded a grant through the South Carolina Developmental Disabilities Council aimed at improving the effectiveness of the school re-entry process following brain injury. The "Brain Injury Education Initiative" provides an opportunity for research and training that provides assistance to students, their families, and educators. Goals include a research project on training needs, development of educational materials, and this, a web-based training portal. These tools enable families to play a major role in their own service coordination, as well as provide educators the tools they need to guide persons with brain injury.
